In the lead up to Christmas, when we are feeling the end of the year, the cold weather, and the pressure of getting sorted for the big day, nothing gives a sense of relief like a Christmas cocktail! Now as you know, alcohol does not help the body's ability to heal and recover, with the glowing exception of red wine that contains resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant found in red grapes (YAY for red wine!) that has been shown to be good for your heart. But, when enjoyed in moderation and also combined with a few health boosting anti-oxidant loaded ingredients, you can theoretically off set the negative impact of other alcoholic drinks. Now please understand that just because these drinks have health benefits it doesn't mean you get to have more of them that you usually would. Moderation of course is key here! So without, further ado my cheeky little gift to you this week is a selection of healthy Christmas cocktails you can enjoy solo or with friends pretty much guilt free!
